HTC One X: Secret Phone Codes

While going through XDA-Dev forum, i found this topic under HTC One X General section: “[LIST] HTC secret codes for HTC One X“, wrote by XDA-Dev senior Member theliquid. Paste it over here for references, note that some codes might wipe all your data and please be extra concern while trying it. Original post as below:

Hi, I am trying to make a list with all the useful “secret” codes for the HTC One X.

Disclaimer
I am not responsibly for anything you do with the codes. Some of them might be able to do a factory reset or something similar. You MAY brick your device with some of the codes.

General codes

  • *#06# = Show IMEI
  • *135# = Show mobile number
  • HTC specific codes

  • *#*#4636#*#* = device information program (such as telephone, battery, wifi, …) << all these generic system information tools in the market read the same data as this code/tool does - [working]
  • *#*#7262626#*#* = Field-Test
  • *#*#3424#*#* = HTC Function Test program (very useful!) – [working]
  • *#*#1111#*#* = Show software version
  • *#*#2222#*#* = Show hardware version
  • *#*#232338#*#* = Show WiFi mac address
  • *#*#232337#*# = Show Bluetooth mac address
  • *#*#1472365#*#* = GPS test
  • *#*#1575#*#* = GPS test #2
  • *#*#232331#*#* = Bluetooth test
  • *#*#0*#*#* = display test (?)
  • *#*#2663#*#* = touch screen version (?)
  • *#*#2664#*#* = touch screen test(?)
  • *#*#759#*#* = Rlz Debug UI (?)
  • HARMFUL CODES
    BE CAREFUL WITH THEM!

  • *#*#7780#*#* = factory reset !! BE CAREFUL!
  • ##4772579# = reset GPS – working?
  • *2767*3855# = factory format !! BE CAREFUL!
  • *#*#197328640#*#* = service mode? – after two tests seems to be NOT WORKING
  • UNKNOWN CODES
    BE CAREFUL WITH THEM!

  • *#*#36666#*#* = starts FlexNet Mode | Don’t know what it is … | Discussion about flex net mode: http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc…lled-apps.html | So FlexNet may be a substitute for CarrierIQ ..

    I didn’t try all of them, some of them might not work …

    If you want to use on of these codes, simply open your dial pad and put in the code you want.

    HTC One X: Tips

    After using the HTC One X for a week, here are the things that i found out:

    Tips:

  • Screen Shot #1: Capture screenshot by press on Power button and then Home button.
  • Screen Shot #2: Power button + Vol down button for 2 secs
  • Lock screen short-cut: It actually follows Home-Screen short cut
  • Internet Pass-through: Reverse Tethering, use computer as a modem through USB
  • Sound Enhancer: Beats technology will be applied when earphones(any brand) plugged in.
  • Task Manager: Stopping running applications using Task Manager
  • Restart: Long press power button (it will start countdown for restart)
  • Quick uninstallation: Long press and drag application from app drawer to uninstall
  • Best Wi-Fi Performance: Go to “Setiings”->”Wi-Fi”->”Menu”->”Advance”->tick “Best Wi-Fi Performance”
