My recent Xiaomi Redmi handset facing weak signal problem which i covered here, Redmi: Weak Phone Signal and Data Connection Issue. Done all those steps suggest by Xiaomi staff from email and other method suggest by MIUI forum member, but all not working.
No choice but to took the last method, send in to Xiaomi service center (The Central at Clarke Quay). It will take sometime to search for it since it locate hidden in the corner, with signature “mi” orange signboard beside Huawei Center.
Thought i can buy some accessories such as screen protector and redmi casing, but surprised me that there is none xiaomi related accessories available (phone, earphone…none for now).
After some basic check-up with a Sim-card (same low signal), engineer needs an hour to fix as some of the part need to be replace as state in image above: coaxial line and a board. After that, the phone shows full signal bar with same Sim-card right away.
The signal problem was gone, signal was very good while roaming in Singapore. Heavy use of navigation, spotify music stream via bluetooth and messaging for hours in Selangor are stable, just like how it used to be on my old HTC One X+.
