No choice but to took the last method, send in to Xiaomi service center (The Central at Clarke Quay). It will take sometime to search for it since it locate hidden in the corner, with signature “mi” orange signboard beside Huawei Center.

Thought i can buy some accessories such as screen protector and redmi casing, but surprised me that there is none xiaomi related accessories available (phone, earphone…none for now).

After some basic check-up with a Sim-card (same low signal), engineer needs an hour to fix as some of the part need to be replace as state in image above: coaxial line and a board. After that, the phone shows full signal bar with same Sim-card right away.

The signal problem was gone, signal was very good while roaming in Singapore. Heavy use of navigation, spotify music stream via bluetooth and messaging for hours in Selangor are stable, just like how it used to be on my old HTC One X+.

Hi Bear, I am having the same issue but I am working in Australia. My Redmi works fine with Virgin Mobile and Optus SIM cards. But using Telstra, I will get E, H+ and 3G appearing. I was told that Redmi work best on European frequency (eg 900MHz)and not American frequency (eg 850MHz). Telstra is on 850MHz. What did Xiaomi fix on your mobile?

HI Bear, I recently bought a redmi note and have poor signal problem. At work I have strong signal reception, full bars and H+ data connection. I know at home my mobile signal is not strong, redmi keeps switching from 1 bar to no service while my old samsung s3 consistently gets 2 or 3 bars. Redmi does the same thing at home even after I switched to 2G network only. Did you have a similar problem before cable/board replacement? I am wondering if it is a hardware problem
