Mazda 6 2.0L Sedan has been spotted in different show room around Klang Valley area since few months ago, but still haven’t get a chance to spot on Mazda 6 2.5L Sedan or Mazda 6 2.5 Wagon. Thanks to Mazda Malaysia invited me as part of media, give me a chance to get a closer look on these two variants.
The public launch event was held on 27th March at Centre Court of Mid Valley, two variants was unveiled on the event, the Skyactiv 2013 Mazda 6 2.5L Sedan (Soul Red) and Mazda 6 2.5 Hatch Touring (Blue Reflex) with absence of Mazda 6 2.0L Sedan variant. The two units will be remain and display over there from 27th March to 31st March.
On the specification sheet, 2.5L variants will get extras such as: Tom Tom GPS Navigation, 11 speakers Bose Sounds System, i-Eloop and i-Activesense (with AFS, RVM, LDW, HBC & SCBS). From Sedan’s exterior, you can differentiate 2.0L with 2.5L with the existing of Sun Roof and larger 19″ tyre Rims in day time, while in night, you’ll be able to differentiate with their headlights, Halogen bulbs on 2.0L and a whiter Bi-Xenon on 2.5L.
The Hatch Touring looking great, it comes with a huge boot capacity of 522-litre compares to Sedan’s already large 428-litre. On the Gran Touring’s roof, there is a shark fin antenna as CX-5’s, pair of baggage Rails helps on balancing the body design and make its look a little taller. Mazda should produce a CX-6 that based this variant with exact same design, same chassis but taller body.
One thing i find missing is the Mazda’s Commander Switch in center console which looks like this: http://goo.gl/tTD1x. A knob with several buttons that allow driver controls over audio, phone, navigation and setup.
